Ad verification: CloudREC.io checks every spot, break by break
An advertiser buys a slot at 7.50. The spot is scheduled, the log has gone to playout. Did it really go on air, on time, and in full? Until now, answering meant listening again. CloudREC.io now answers by itself, for every spot, every day.
What ad verification does
CloudREC.io already records your output around the clock: that is the logger. Ad verification builds on that recording. It reads your advertising logs, takes the audio of each spot, and looks for it in what was broadcast.
As soon as an ad break is over, every scheduled spot gets its status:
- Aired: the spot went out in its break.
- Aired truncated: the spot was cut before its end. The duration actually aired is shown.
- Aired off-break: the spot went out, but outside the scheduled break.
- Not aired: the spot cannot be found.
For every airing, the screen shows the detected time, the gap with the scheduled time, the aired duration and the speed. One click opens the player at the exact moment: you hear what the listener heard.

Nothing to key in
Logs and spot audio files are fetched automatically from your file server, over FTP, FTPS or SFTP. There is nothing to upload by hand. If a log is revised during the day, only the lines that changed are checked again. If the audio of a spot arrives late, the spot is checked as soon as it arrives.
Verification also recognises spots that the broadcast chain slightly speeds up or slows down: the measured speed is shown, and the spot is not counted as missing.
The morning report
Every morning, a report on the previous day is emailed to the people you chose: airing rate, anomalies, detail per spot. You can choose to receive it only on days when something went wrong. Results can be exported as CSV, for the day, for a period or for a single spot.
Who it is for
For the sales house, which can answer an advertiser with proof. For programming, which sees at once a break that overruns. For engineering, which spots a commercial cut by an opt-out before the customer reports it.
How to get it
Ad verification is a CloudREC.io option, enabled station by station. Our team sets it up with you: file server, log format, recipients of the report. Write to us for a demo on your own output.
